Local Marketing the “Right Way” Is Essential for Small Business Success!12 July 2011
Local Marketing done right gets results! The key is figuring out the right way for you and your business.
Most companies are overwhelmed by the daily challenges of doing what they do best … And pay too little attention to mastering the “art” of Local Marketing. Where do you find the time, the staff and the money to achieve real results in your chaotic world?
Does this sound familiar?
Your products or services may be incredibly great and yet you can barely keep your doors open. Or, you work long hours and make a living, but can’t break through to establish a real “money machine”. First, let me reassure you that your dream of reaping big money from your little business is not as impossible as you think. You may be only a few affordable steps away from real success.
Are your old marketing methods failing you? This is the most common complaint we hear all the time. Are you too busy to try to master the new world of websites, digital marketing, social media, blogging and list building? More typically, you may be confused as all get-out about what you need to do to get actual results. Don’t despair … there is plenty of reason to hope for a realistic solution.
It’s NOT your fault …
Now, you may come from the old school of “the buck stops here” … and I commend you if that is true. All good entrepreneurs should do everything in their power to overcome adversity and find a way to succeed. But the truth is, technology and modern challenges pile up and change at a staggering pace. You need to focus on what you do best. You can’t do it all anymore.
Your “failure” to master the new world of online-offline marketing is truly not your fault. Very few business owners understand all the nuances and complexities of 21st Century marketing. They are searching for the proverbial “needle in the haystack” magic wand to wave at their old marketing systems with little success.
Outsourcing is NOT a dirty word!
The good news is there are affordable modern marketing solutions … or even miracle-like systems that most companies can add to their promotional arsenals to break out of their marketing slumps. Today’s world requires you to learn a different set of rules for business success. In school you may have been taught to embrace the things you find easy to do, but really work hard to master the things that confuse you or are difficult for you.
WRONG! WRONG! WRONG! The new world is so much more complex, confusing and fast paced than any of us can ever hope to master. Today, we must all focus on the things we find easy to master and the things we are passionate about doing. EVERYTHING ELSE (in business) should be outsourced to people and companies that specialize and love what they do.
Develop a new healthy mindset that becomes second nature to you. This new approach is based on setting up strong relationships with outside contractors or companies to leverage your marketing success using their passion and skillsets. It is an absolute fact that many big companies have outsourced successfully for years … but it is also a fact that many small companies don’t feel comfortable “giving up control” or possibly even “exposing company secrets” to outsourcers.
The bottom line fact is there are very few proprietary marketing secrets in the world today. The internet has ripped the curtain down and any decent researcher can find marketing solutions for almost any conceivable product, service or situation.
Information Overload is your main enemy now …
The far more serious problem is it takes focused dedication and an extraordinary time investment to figure out what might work for you and your company. The only intelligent solution is let the experts do that. The reality is marketing strategies and techniques change at a lightning fast pace these days. The systems that worked when the internet first went mainstream do NOT work today. There may be certain concepts that still apply, but the steps, the websites, the promotional blueprints, etc. have become more involved, more confusing and will be changing constantly in the future.
